Springtime Resurrection

This old pear tree came with the house when we moved in in 1977 and is probably way older than me, and that’s getting on, but she managed to resurrect herself after being flattened by the neighbors hackberry tree a couple of years ago. I really didn’t think there was much hope but she came back.   The pears are the old fashioned canning pears that make really good jam but are way too hard to just eat.  Looks like the bees are making sure there might be quite a few pears this year, is anyone interested in making some preserves?

After the tree landed on her-

And here she is today, a bit lopsided but hanging in there-

The bees are loving the blossoms-
