Yay! The pear tree is setting fruit so now there are visions of pear jelly dancing in my head.
I made this little nest last year and just made it into a necklace yesterday.

Here’s closer view- I found the little twig in the yard.

Yay!! Pears!! How long do they take to be fully grown?
Probably around the end of June or the beginning of July. I’ll let you know when they are ready to pick. I have Mulberries right now-they make great preserves too and all you have to do is lay a tarp on the ground and shake the tree! But if you want them, come before the birds get them-they love them because they’re delicious.
Alrighty =)
I can ask my friend if he is interested in some of the mulberries, but if I come over to get them it’s gotta be on the day you make that cobbler. =) It sounds delicious!
Okay!
He said he’d love the mulberries too! He bought some jars and is itching to start making some jam. I know surely I’ll be over there for Easter at Kate’s, so if there isn’t a better time before then I know I can get some then. Just let me know when you are available.
There will probably be a bunch that easter weekend but I’ll put down the tarp and see what falls this weekend, too.
