This spiral bracelet is copper wire with a Precious Metal Clay heart charm I made myself. The clay is a lot of fun to use -you work it like clay but when you fire it the clay disintegrates and just leaves pure silver. Unfortunately, the little kiln I bought with the clay cracked after one use- so now I’m on the lookout for a small electric kiln.
This bracelet was adapted from a project in the book Wire Art Jewelry Workshop by Sharilyn Miller. I’m about half way through the book and I like it a lot because there are plenty of clear photos of the techniques and the projects are really interesting. And she uses a lot of spirals and I love that motif.
I’m so happy to be back into art making, this is the first thing I’ve made in a while as I have lots going on plus the nerve damage pain in my leg ramped way up with all the running around I’ve been doing.
